Hi, everybody.

I want to ask some question about choosing college.
I am in finance major.
I have appiled for SUNY-Binghamton, Ohio State U, Miami U at Oxford, and Indiana U in Fall 2010.

I would like to know that which one is better ? ( studying, find a job, and sth else)

Would you please give me some advices?
Thanks a lot.

At least two of those schools are out of state publics. Can you afford the OOS cost of attendance for all of them?

If not, you can probably eliminate some based on affordability alone.

i know nothing about suny or indy… but as far as the ohio schools… OSU is definatley the better option. In everything except sciences (my aunt went to miami and now works for nasa) osu is far and away the superior option

OP, for finance I would probably say OSU or Indiana. I assume you are an international? As Mom2CK asks, can you pay for all those schools?

Atrain, I believe Miami is better for English and Music while OSU is better for sciences (more research opportunities).

thanks a lot guys,
i am an internatioanl student.

And i know that OSU is in a quarter system,
is that good or not?

The quarter system is just different. You take fewer classes and do it more quickly. If you get sick it could be difficult to catch up. OSU is moving toward a semester system which is supposed to be ready by fall 2012.

I think OSU may be going to semester system in the near future. Anyone else hear that?

Either way…quarter system tends to move a bit faster, which is fine for many students.

What is your annual budget for your education?

I only really know binghamton, which is a good school for business. I don’t think there’s too big a difference between the schools you applied to though, so cost and which one you’d have more fun at should matter more.

thanks a lot, everyone

i have applied for Binghamton in accounting major,
others are in fianance major.

I think the cost is not the biggest question to me now.

how about miami university?

I really need your guys help,
because I can’t find any good information to help me decide it.

how’s condition about miami unversity?

Miami U is a very good school in a more rural area. Many people think it is a beautiful campus.

thanks a lot man,
how’s the academics in miami U?

becasue I am an international student,
therefore I have better to choose a better school now,
that will help me to find a job when I go back to my country.

So, which one do you guys think is better?

thanks a lot, everyone

but is it hard to handle in OSU in a quarter system?

No harder than semesters.

thanks man,
will courses become intensive in quarters?

I heard from my friend that,
the professor may ask you to study alone if he haven’t finished syllabus in the class.
is that ture?

i have got the enrollment letter from Binghamton,
but I still cannot make a decision between these four college

Could anyone give much more advice to me?
by the way, I am a transfer student

thanks for everybody who giving advice to me
