Need hotel recommendation

Coming to visit next week and need a decent hotel to stay in near campus. Can anyone recommend one?

Thanks!

Hilton Garden Inn near downtown, A Summerfield Inn just east of town and the Hampton Inn are all good choices.

Also Comfort Inn and Marriott Courtyard, and try calling (rather than going online) the Indiana Memorial Union - Biddle Hotel to see if there are any rooms available. The union will put you within walking distance of pretty much everything.

I can second the Hampton Inn.

Another vote for the Hampton Inn–great value and very close to campus.

I love the rates and location at the Union. If you want something close but elegant, Grant Street Inn.

We stayed at the Grant Street Inn once and thought it was nice. However, two caveats.

Beware that, even though they show all of their rooms on their website as available, they won’t necessarily honor your specific room reservation. We, and another couple traveling with us, had reserved rooms in their annex building, but when we checked in, we were told we had to take an “upgraded” room in the main house. The inn was trying to put all of their guests in the same building to save on costs. It worked out fine for my husband & I, but the other couple thought that their “upgrade” definitely wasn’t.

Grant Street Inn is located amongst homes rented by college students. As such, it can be quite noisy into the early morning hours.
