Have been travelling with daughter looking at Endicott, Wentworth, Mount Ida, Suffolk and High Point North Carolina. Also Parsons and NYSID. How can you cut through the marketing and get to the unfiltered facts about the programs and areas. Any comments

High Point is probably one of the least “artsy” of the bunch and gives you the traditional residential college experience. The campus is beautiful, and the climate is great! And, it certainly is a benefit to be in the Furniture Capital of the World.

THat’s what we were thinking but is the curriculum too slanted toward furniture.

Have you considered Savannah College of Art and Design? I have had good experiences (as an employer and co-worker) with students/graduates of both SCAD and Wentworth. Wentworth provides a well-rounded, but technical education; SCAD, a little more artsy/design-oriented. Both approaches can be good, depending on your future interests.

Looked at it but seemed too artsy.

connmom - What did you think of Endicott?

Small and interior design faculty did not impress. Other colleges had stronger faculty. New building impressive buy just not sure.
