Need legging help

I’m jumping on the athleisure wear bandwagon. I bought some super nice athleta moto ones. Nice thick, great compression. Except….you guessed it, it shows just “too much”. I’m so ticked. I tried fabletics…same. Is there any out there that hides what we want to hide. I’d like to wear a jacket that I got at Athleta I wanted to wear with it, but now I can’t. So…need some help, ladies!

Size up. I go up two sizes so the fabric is not stretched too thin. Works for me! I love my Athleta moto leggings.

What I love is it felt like I was wearing Spanx compression fir my tummy. Hopefully the next size will still do that. I’ll try it, though.

Costco has some skecher leggings with pockets for $20 on coupon now or soon. They’re pretty comfy. I bought a larger size so they’re not very tight and don’t show things better hidden.

Too much compression causes or worsens reflux anyway, which I don’t need.

Lol, feeling like the Athleta expert.

Black moto leggings? The Delancey moto tight

I wore them yesterday. I sized up. I tried on the smaller size and they were too compressive for me. They are not see through for me, if these are the tights you got.

I love them, a little dressier than a plain pair of black tights.

I tried them on in a couple of colors, I felt that these are more pant than tight, tight legging.

What jacket did you get?

The headlands hybrid tight is another legging pant that I like. They are more pant like than tight like

Sometimes I think the younger girls who work there love everything super tight and I’m kinda past that level. Besides my stomach is no longer that flat. Squishy stomach, skinny leg person here.

Lululemon also makes great leggings. We think they are a little “thicker” than the athleta ones. And size up at least one size.

Yes, these are the ones. I’m going Friday to try the Large. This is the jacket I got. I also got the leggings in that pattern, but I wear a sweater that covers everything.

It’s prettier in person.

My favorite leggings are from under armor. I think I found them at Marshall’s or TJ Maxx. Have never had any issue with them being too thin and they are holding up really well (they are a couple of years old now).

I’m going to have to enroll in athleta anonymous

I bought the joggers in that pattern. And I said exactly the same thing, the print is much cuter in person!

Love these leggings! :+1:

I had to buy the pattern leggings in the tall as I don’t look good in 7/8 inseam. They are perfect and I love them.

I saw that jacket and wish they had it in a bLue color. I am in need of a simple jacket like that, but want a neutral that’s not black.
FYI - if you google athleta 20% off there’s at least one coupon offer now, and they occur fairly regularly.

I have several pairs of leggings and joggers from Athleta and Lulu Lemon. I tend to like the ones from Lulu better. Seems Athleta tops work better for me though. You should definitely go to the store and try on different styles and thicknesses.

I’m a big fan of Align leggings. They come in multiple lengths (bike shorts to tall) and are sooooo soft and comfy.

I curse the developers of our local town center where I go to shop at TJ because they leased space to both Athleta and Lululemon! It cost me a pretty penny. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Addicted to Aligns here, but if they are in the usual Nulu fabric, they would be likely to show too much for many people. I have one baby blue pair that I mostly wear just at home, as I can actually see the “flaw” of a small mole on my leg :flushed:

Love Lululemon leggings - my daughter’s hand-me-downs, lol! Also size up for comfort (one or two sizes).

Not sure if this is appropriate for the legging thread - but looking for some warm, straight-leg type sweats/athleisurewear - not tight leggings, not ‘joggers’ (with elastic ankle) - but something warm and comfy that could pass as pants (in black) and could run out for coffee in them and still look presentable…?

Everthing this year seems to be ‘joggers’ (too casual to pass as regular pants) or tight leggings My old fav, straight-leg pair was from Under Armor and they were perfect (repelled pet hair, too!).

Thanks to a Facebook ad I order leggings from Shapermint. They were more compression than I expected, but looked really nice on and weren’t thin.

I saw that jacket in person the other day and really liked it!

I also agree to size up. It’s hard to have compression in one area you want (like stomach) but not in other areas (like your behind!) - so I think that sizing up - even if the stomach area is not so compressed will make you look better overall.

I have heard good things about these pants, but I don’t own any or know anyone who does. I’ve considered ordering them myself.

I have owned a dozen of Aligns in all sorts of colors but I have never seen a see through ones! I go up to size 8 for comfort in them, so they are not as stretched as they could be. That said, I always wear a longer top if I’m in public.
