Need Match / Safety Schools!

Okay, I haven't visited any colleges so I really don't know which ones I like or don't.

GPA - 3.6 Unweighted at a Competitive Prep School w/ rigorous curriculum
SAT - 1750 ... retaking saturday with a goal of 1350 minimum for M/V
Loads of Extracurricular Activities that accentuate my ambition for business

Here are the colleges I've considered:

NYU (Reach right now considering my SAT scores)
-question: When you apply there, do you apply specifically to a college within it or just the actual school?

Northeastern
Boston University
Baruch (Safety!)
University of Michigan (Not sure because I want to stay on the east coast)

As you can see...I don't have much of a list. I'm definitely applying ED to NYU though.

Can you please suggest some colleges that would be a match for me? I'm looking into schools with good undergraduate business programs preferably on the east coast. And what are some schools I can fall back on. If possible, please select schools that fall into the match category assuming my SAT scores are higher than 1750 - say around 1300 range for M/V.

Preferences:

Urban / Suburban setting with a fairly large # of students. Medium (3000-8000) and more. Has good connections with firms for post-graduation.

Syracuse, RIT, U Maryland, George washington, Virginia Commonwealth

What do you guys think about Georgetown? And do I have a chance with 1350 SAT / 3.6 GPA?

Georgetown will definitely be a reach for you. They turn down many students who have much stronger numbers. Also, if you are out-of-state, Michigan is also a reach. And...you need to send your application to Michigan as soon as possible if you are out-of-state. They have rolling admissions and tend to fill up their out-of-state quotas if you do not have all your "stuff" in earlier than the deadlines. Most people suggest having everything in to Michigan by November 1. It is not binding, and falls within the rules of the ED and SCEA school requirements, meaning you can still apply to Michigan even if you are applying ED or SCEA to another school.

Good Luck--and all schools are worth a shot if your GC can show you some stats as to how similar students fared with their applications to those schools!

How is Penn State's Undergrad business program as well as its college life/campus? If you got into it as well as lets say BU / Northeastern..which would you choose?

babson or bentley?

miami univ (OH)-match, Ohio Univ-athens(safety), Purdue(safety)... i would choose penn state b/c social life is nice and cost of living is much lower
