@nusername Just because your family income is above Pell grant cutoff doesn’t mean you wouldn’t qualify for substantial financial aid. This is especially true for private colleges with large financial endowments. When you find a college of interest, run the Net Price Calculator (NPC) on the school website using your family’s real financial data.
Did you take the PSAT? If you didn’t qualify for NMSF, what about the National Hispanic Recognition Program?
The University of Nebraska, Arizona State, the University of Arizona and the University of Kentucky have generous NHRP scholarships. You can take out a total of $27,000 in loans over 4 years. Ask your parents if they can pay $5,000 per year.
