So i was recently admitted to Clemson's Engineering school. I have a 3.4ish unweighted, 3.7ish (weighted), 1350/1990 sats. So any chances on some good merit aid? do i stand ne chance of getting the oos tuition waiver or watnot?

also, my efc was below 8000. my family normally makes alot more than this, but my parents were unemployed for a good portion of this year. Does clemson meet a large portion of the tuition gap, or am i gonna be stuck with close to the sticker price?

the most i would hope for would be like 5k a year merit wise. that would be nice. but hopefully i will get a lot of need based aid. Like i'm thinking if i could get the price down to about 12 or 13k a year then it would be a no brainer to go here. My instate school OSU, will end up costing me under 10k, which is what i pay for my private school ne ways. So unless I can get Clemson's sticker price down, idk if my parents are gonna pay for me to go here when i could go to osu for dirt cheap. (which would suck cuz i love clemson, and really want to get out of ohio)

My son (OOS) applied Priority and was accepted in mid-November. The offer of in-state tuition and an additional $1000 scholarship came with the acceptance. The letter indicated that other need-based aid/merit scholarships notifications would be sent in April. The in-state tuition certainly makes a big difference in the decision-making process!

if you already got accepted, but didnt hear about merit scholarship yet, i know they're sending out the second batch of scholarships in late march. that's what the admissions office told me when i called them.

cool. Thats part of what i was asking for. I guess i should ask this differently. Current clemson students and people who know a lot about clemson: how good is need-based financial at clemson? If i have say a 20,000 dollar gap (what i can pay subtracted from the COA), how much can i expect clemson to give me?
