We didnt get to tour McClintock at orientation. If anyone has more specific details than the virtual tour and floor plan on the USC website, I would so appreciate it for my daughter. On the floor plan it looks like there is wall space btw desk and closet but on virtual tour I cant see any. Also, we don't know what the inside of the "vanity closet" consists of and is the desk affixed to the floor? Any knowledge or space saving ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Terry my D was in McClintock when she was a freshman. I can tell you the layout of her room not sure if they are all exactly alike. Hers was a 2 person room. Built in beds on either side of the door with drawers underneath the bed for storage. In wall bookshelf above the bed where you can store books, pictures etc. The desk was a shared table affixed to the floor in front of the windows, big enough for each girls laptop/PC and some work space. When we moved her in we went to Target and bought one of those rolling stacks of drawers about 3 feet high and 18 inches or so wide that she kept under the desk for all her school supplies, printer paper, extra ink etc. Behind each chair for the desk was the closet space. Must say a ton of storage. It was like 3 narrow closets, one being the vanity closet which had I think a shelf and drawer in it. Above the 3 narrow closets was more storage, which is where she kept luggage, her bins of sheets and towels, extra laundry supplies. We just brought my D back this weekend, she is a junior now and lives in a sorority house but we always drive past McClintock. It is such a pretty square with those 3 yellow buildings and very convenient for Freshman so close to Russell House and the Library. Good luck to you and your D. I hope you are all as happy with USC as we have been.

Hi Terry did you by chance send me an email directly? I don’t open emails from addresses I don’t recognize but right after I deleted it I remembered your name from this post.

Yes, that was me. I went back in the old posts and saw that u had mentioned your daughter had been in McClintock. How neat that you had already replied to my thread, I just didn’t see it. Your reply really helps. I think we’re all ready to head there on Saturday. Thank you so much.
