Need one more class to get my Associates...

As the title says I only need one more class to get my associates. However, that class is only offered in the spring. My question is, should I stay back at my cc for that one class for a whole semester? Or should I transfer this coming spring. If I do stay back, I would be a senior once I get my associates. The associates would be a degree in engineering. Mechanical to be specific. My gpa is a 3.3 rn.

Find out if you can transfer that one class back and earn the Associates. Check your community college “residency” requirements. If you’ve earned everything else there, there’s no reason you should have to stay there to finish, when instead you could start work toward a more advanced degree. The only way I would stay is if the associates would qualify you for more scholarships, and you can take other credits that can transfer. No matter when you transfer, you are only a “senior” once you have earned enough credits at the 4-year school to have senior status.

I had a friend who did that. Went to the same cc as me and only need one more class to get the associates so he took it at a university. However, he said that it didn’t matter once he got the associates after completing that one class. One of the main reasons why people over here get their associates is because it guarantees them that they will be accepted to any college here in NJ.
