Need Opinion on Senior Schedule

Hey guys. I've viewed these forums for some time now, and finally decided to register to ask you all for an opinion on my senior schedule for next year.

I'm a Junior right now and taking AP English Lang. & Comp, AP Calculus AB, AP Art History, and AP Physics B (the rest are honors/electives). So far I've done well, but unfortunately, my early high school years weren't too good, and my GPA dropped as a result.

With that said, here is the dilemma:

AP Statistics
AP Calculus BC
AP English Literature
AP Biology
AP Chemistry
AP U.S Govt./AP Micro
Portfolio II (This is required, since I attend an art school.)

These are the classes I have been thinking on taking during my senior year. Now, I am mentally and physically capable of taking each and every one of these classes. However, I feel that the combination of Chemistry and Biology will not turn out very well, as they are pretty hard courses at my school, and having both of them at the same time will be too heavy of a course load.

I want to complete all the AP math & science courses that my school has to offer, since I intend to be a Mechanical Engineer, come college time. I do realize that in some cases, I'll still have to retake the courses in college even if I pass the AP exams, but this is to show that I've been exposed to all college level math & science courses that are offered.

So the question is, do I take both Biology and Chemistry along with the other AP classes, or should I make AP Lit, and AP Gov/AP Micro into honors (or even regular) classes, so its not as heavy on me? Or should I keep the courses I have except for Chemistry, and take another art elective instead?

Thank You!

Good schedule… If your school is like mine and has AP science take double periods then I’d take Chem but if not then take both

I would get rid of AP Bio because you will not need it IF you’re doing Mechanical Engineering.

Why would you take AP Calc BC if you already take AP Calc AB??
