I picked Dunn, Krueger, and Hart.
Does anyone know if these are relatively nice dorms?
Any info on them would be nice, I tried the online info on the A&M website but I would like some student feedback.
Thanks

Hart Hall isn’t in the same catagory as Kruger & Dunn. It is one of the oldest dorms on campus - It is more centrally located and that is a plus. from the photos, I can tell they have been updated from my time on campus in the late 70’s-early 80’s - but Hart hall was old then.

Ya thats why I put it as my third choice, but it is coed, beds are loftable, and it doesn’t have community bathrooms
Anyone know how nice Dunn and Kruger are?

Dunn and Krueger are suite style dorms (one bathroom between two rooms). The rooms themselves are approximately 12’x12’ with a single tall, narrow window in the middle. The room entry is from an interior hall. They are part of the “Commons” complex (Dunn, Krueger, Aston, Mosher), so you have easy access to the dining hall, P.O. Boxes, food court and lounges from your room. I lived in Mosher all four years I was at A&M and liked it very much.

i agree with the above posters.

dunn and kreuger were probably built in the 80s. hart was built WAY before that.

Ya I heard they JUST got AC lol
well if i happen to get hart i’ll just ask for another I suppose…

Kruger & Dunn were built in 1972
I looked it up because I knew they were there when I got to A&M - and they had been there a few years, but they were the newest dorms on campus…
Hart was built in 1931

when i was there it seemed like the guys from the ramp and corridor dorms were more gung ho than the people from the commons. it may not be like that or maybe my perception was wrong … but if that is something you are looking for, then that may be something to consider.

the guys from the older dorms were more guys guys.

To make you aware of a few sweeping campus generalizations:
-Hart is stereotypically the more independent-minded aggies, more musical and artsy. Also, the asian community has a big presence in several of the ramps. The dorm is ooooold.
-Dunn is stereotypically the grab a beer and go chop down some trees for bonfire types. The dorm is much newer.

So, if you see one of these as fitting your personality I guess you can choose that one. With that said, though, no dorm wholly fits its stereotype. You will find people everywhere you love to hang out with. So I would say ignore the stereotypes and go with the one that fits your budget and space requirements.
