Need places to look...

My parents are freaking out because they can't think of any more quality schools to look at in the north east...

Me:
GPA 3.9
Rank: Top 5%, Somewhere in top 10 students
All AP and Honors Courses
I wung the SATs last October, got 750M 660V 640W, retaking saturday
ECs: National Honors Society, National Latin Award every year, Community Service, Varsity Math Team (Currently #1 Junior in league), Destination Imagination (started it at our school), Work as a camp counselor in the summer
Looking into chemistry!

Sorry for the bizarre typing, but it's late!

Any ideas as to where we should look (that's realistic)?

We've been to:
BC (loved it)
Bowdoin (liked it)
Wesleyan (hated it)
Tufts (brutally mixed)

Some neat suggestions would be awesome!

Some other suggestions in the BC/Bowdoin feel: Williams, Amherst, Middlebury, Hamilton, Colgate, Colby, Skidmore, Conn College, Kenyon (not NE, but similar personality).

Sound like a good fit for BC, choose some extra schools to make your parents happy like the ones momrath posted.

Holy Cross, also a little farther south -- Lehigh, Bucknell, Franklin and Marshall, Villanova, Lafayette, and Georgetown.

A lot of people refer to Holy Cross as the Catholic version of Bowdoin or Williams. HC is the top rated Catholic LAC per USNWR.

Sorry but Holy Cross can not be compared to Williams. It may be the top rated Catholic LAC but you can't realistically compare #33 to #1. We have friends at Holy Cross and a child at Williams and they surely know the difference. I have a grad degree from a Jesuit school so I am a fan but the only real similarity is that they are both colleges in the state of MA.

and more: union, trinity, dartmouth

i think collegbounder was implicitly distinguishing holy cross from BC by comparing it to LACs. i would agree that holy cross is the catholic version of those colleges. i don't think the point was that they were equal in prestige, but rather that, unlike BC, holy cross has an LAC feel.

a lot of these are LACs, got any other universities?

What state do you live it? Would you consider a quality state school, like UMass Amherst, Rutgers, etc?

I lived in NH. As far as State Schools go, I think I'm set on UNH and UMD

What about Penn State? It has a pretty good chem program.

I will definitely look into it

any other larger schools of recommendation?

toastmaster,
