O.K.
Here is the situation. I have posted my info in another thread so the is the readers digest version. 3.87 gpa at a third tier school, first sat 1220, second 1340. On a national leadership team for my church (rep for Tex, Oklahoma, Arkansas, new mexico parts of other states) and involved in other activities. I am applying for spring and already have 87 credits. The universities said it doesnt matter, I just have to lose some credits (which is the whole point because my uni doesnt have the classes I want in econ)

Now the problem:
I was just accepted to our school D.C. internship program with an additional $4,000 scholarship. I was one of about 7 picked out of about 200 applicants. Problem is that I have to accept this or turn it down way before the Dec 15 transfer notification date. I prefer to transfer but I dont want to reject this and then not get in anywhere and be left at my local university with no extra benefits such as this internship.

Any thoughts on what I should do? Should I just forget about my applications to Cornell (a&s), Claremont McKenna (1st choice), and UVA (out of state so its expensive) or should I roll the dice and reject the internship. If I knew I would be accepted with fairly good financial aid, I would have no question about rejecting the internship, but its all about uncertainty.

Last note: I am opposed to saying yes to the internship and then back out at the last minute. I just cant do that to people who are offering me so much.
