Need safeties/matches

Hey guys, I'm working on finalizing my college list and I figured I need more safeties and matches. I'm currently applying to UVA (in-state), William & Mary (in-state), James Madison (in-state), Boston College, Notre Dame, Princeton, Columbia, and UChicago. Haven't decided my major yet, but I like poli sci/econ/business (so schools with business programs like BC, Notre Dame, and UVA would be great). I like schools located on the East Coast or Midwest, except for the DC schools because I live too close :P Also, I don't want to be in the middle of nowhere or in a really small school. Money isn't an issue either since my parents are willing to pay.

And for my stats:

2310 SAT - 800 CR, 710 M, 800 W

SAT IIs - 780 World History, 780 US History, taking Math II in October

4.3 weighted GPA, 5 on APs except for a 4 in BC calc

I have a few decent ECs like debate (captain, local + state level awards), and newspaper (Editor-in-chief), and few other leadership positions but nothing amazing.

Northwestern has very good programs in economics and business. No need for FA will help you in schools like NW and Wash U. They may be considered matches for you.

@Bamboolong‌ Those won’t be safeties or matches.

Yeah, I don’t think I need to apply to more schools with a >20% acceptance rate

I like this list just as it is. If you’re happy with your safeties and can afford them, then you could be done.

You could consider Wake Forest or Emory, but I agree with jkeill911, if you are satisfied, stick with your list. There is no need to add new ones if you already have a good list.

So you guys don’t think that I have too many reaches on my list? That’s my only concern

You can only go to one school, OP. If you’re happy with a safety, then you’re going to one school next year. If you get into a non-safety, that’s a bonus. It really doesn’t matter much where you go to school as far as employers are concerned, unless you want to work on Wall street. Start the essay drafting.
