need safeties, please!

I'm going to be a senior at a pretty competitive public MI high school next year. Some schools that i plan to apply to are: U of Chicago, U of Mich, Northwestern, Princeton, and possibly JHU and MIT. However, these are mainly reaches for me (except for UofM) and i would like to apply to a few easier to get into schools for comfort's sake. Also, i am looking mainly at schools in the nearby midwest states and out east. Here are a few guidelines:

SATI: 790M, 680V (might hurt me a bit), 740W...2210 overall
SATII: 760 math IIC, 760 chem

haven't gotten AP scores yet, but i'm expecting 4-5 on both Chem and CalcBC

taking 3 APs next year (English Lit, Gov, Biology) plus Multiv.Calc and DiffEq at MSU

ECs: i've done some stuff, not as much as some ppl, but my main things are music (oboe and piano lessons + participation in band, marching band, and full orch.) and stage crew (i will be stage manager for next year's productions), which both take up a huge amount of time

Anyway, can anyone give me some suggestions of safeties to look into? Thanks.

can anybody help?

Are you mainly looking at mid-sized and larger schools? If you're open to the idea of a LAC, look at Grinnell, Macalaster, and Carleton. Colgate would be a pretty safe eastern LAC option for you. Also consider Indiana U., UIUC (not a true safety if you're applying to the engineering program, but still well worth looking into), Case-Western Reserve, and Purdue.

You might look at Boston U.
Since you have UMich as a safety (I'm assuming), it's hard to top that.

Do you have a planned major? What size school are you looking for? Do you need financial aid?

carnegie-mellon and lehigh come to mind given the science and music connections. You might also check out University of Rochester.

I am considering majoring in physics, and looking for a medium-sized school (4000-10000 undergrads). The school i am most interested in right now is UChicago.
