Need scheduling advice.

Hello all,

I’ve been thinking about next year’s schedule for awhile, and am stuck. I’m currently a sophomore taking AP chemistry. My school’s policy on double science courses has changed dramatically in the last few years, making it harder and harder to take two. My original plan was to take AP Physics and Biology next year, but this seems highly unlikely now. I have a deep interest for biology, and plan to go into pre-med. My plan for senior year is to take a university bio course through a program affiliated with the local university (Ivy). To do this, I would have to take AP bio (not self-study) and would not be able to take physics. My question is, should I forgo physics and continue along the biology route (AP bio to uni bio), take physics and bio with no university course, attempt to self-study physics, or take AP bio and orgo chem next year (orgo is the only science class with no lab period, making it easier to double up on). Thank you in advance.

If I were you, I’d go with the university class. That will be of more value to you than physics will be and while I love physics, I don’t think someone going into premed needs it as a university course will help a tremendous amount

Keep in mind that physics is a required course for admissions to some colleges, and most highly recommend at least one year each of bio, chem, and physics. As a premed, I would highly suggest you take high school physics and forgo the college bio course.
