Ok well there are classes in my schedule that I do not want and one class I need to add. Specifically I would like to drop the byrne seminars class. I would also like to add an english course other than expos.

I called rutgers and they told me stuff about web reg and course scheduling planner and I have no clue what they told me as the guy who talked to me sounded in a rush.

Can anyone explain where to go and how I do it?

You should plan to attend an Academic Session on September 3rd to learn how use webreg and then you will be able to make changes using the online registration system starting on Wednesday, September 5.

If you log onto course schedule planner now, choose “build a schedule” for the fall semester you will be able to look at what courses are currently open and plan out a schedule but you will not be able to change yours yet.

I think there will be one on each campus, you’ll get more information about it in the Scarlet Knight Days activities given to you once you move in.

You would only need to register for the new courses, not re-register for the ones you’re in, but when planning the schedule you should put all of the courses on it just so you can see how everything fits together.

I don’t think that freshmen are allowed to add/drop until the first week of classes.

You do not have to redo your schedule: you just add the classes you want and drop the classes you don’t want. I would try to add a class before you drop the other one in case your request does not go through.

When you are allowed to drop a class, you can just go to view your schedule on Webreg.

Under “manage registration” it will list the courses you are registered for. On the right side of the page, there should be a ‘drop’ button showing that allows you to drop the class by clicking on it.

You do not want to go below 12 credits though, so you may have to add your class before you drop the old one. If they conflict, you need to add a Saturday class or something that doesn’t mess you up, drop the unwanted class, add the new class, then go back and drop the Saturday class.

If you are placed in expos, you cannot drop it without special permission from your school dean which then will send you to college ave murray hall to the secretary for english dept with a special code so she can drop the class for you. (I accidently added expos for the credits so i can drop another course because of the fact webreg won’t let you go under 12 credits, and then i wasn’t able to drop the course. BIGGEST HASSEL EVER).

Webreg will be available to freshmen sept 2nd so you can add/drop. Here is some things to know about webreg(look above about 12 credits for the first thing),

You should always try to add the course before dropping it because like you almost 2000+ students will be on webreg who will captilize on you dropping your spot even if you didn’t get your spot in the other class.

When registering for spring courses, you should use course planner to look at the courses and times offered for the course so you can make a mock schedule, so when its time for you to register for spring semester at 9:59pm at 50 secs you can just click register and hopefully get the course you want.

During that time, the waiting period can be 4-5 mins to see if you were registered for the course or not.

4.Online courses are under a different campus option.

Just mess around webreg and see what you can do, but don’t drop/add if you don’t need too.

shipponz my issue was that I got placed out of expos but not into another english. When I register for a course sucessfully will it sync to my schedule on the myrutgers websute?
