I was wondering if I had any remote chance of going to a State school surrounding Ohio Indiana Kentucky north Carolina Tennessee etc.

YOu should have no problem. State schools don’t really have high standards, so it should be easy to get in. It’ll be even easier if you’re IS.

Everything depends on the reasons for that 2.6

Did you wipe out in 9th grade, but have an improving trend in your grades in 10th and 11th? This looks good.

Did you do well in 9th, but have a declining trend in 10th and 11th? Are your grades all over the map for every year of HS? This looks bad.

Do you have straight As in some particular subjects (or with particular teachers, and nothing over a C in other particular subjects (or with other particular teachers)? This combined with your other achievements is essentially a diagnosis of ADD, so talk to your parents about getting a formal screening for that, and find out about mastering the life skills that you need to have in order to get the grades you are capable of in classes that you aren’t interested in. No matter your major in college, you will almost certainly be stuck taking some classes that you hate.

Well my GPA in sophmore year was a 1.8. Looking back now i cant really tell why. But my senior year grades so far are Amazing. 3.85 Unweighted and 4.1X weighted. But colleges dont look at senior year grades. I have 2 full rides to UofL, UofK, OSU(ohio state). But the requirements for these colleges to get the scholarship is like a 3.35 GPA.

Upward trend, great sat scores, great act score - dude, as far as state schools in general go, you’re in.
Infact, I suggest you aim for a few more reaches :)

Could you name me some of these reach schools. Also I just want to go somewhere where it costs the least IE if i can possible still get those full rides that i obtained with a 2.6 gpa cumulative not including senior year. Do you guys thing If i personally go to the college and show them how high my senior year GPA is with 5 ap’s and challenging courses they would waive the 3.35 gpa requirement for the scholarships?

No I personally don’t think it’s possible to do that. A 2.6 GPA is still pretty low, no matter how well you’re doing in senior year. But i’m sure you’ll get some sort of FA from some college.

But do you think that I should apply to a State school Do well the first year and transfer to a good school ?
