Hi all,

I'm currently a freshman at rutgers and curious of how bad a "W" would look on a transcript. I am a biotech major

I currently have A's in everything except this class Nature of Politics, in which I have a C-. Its not related to my major at all. I just want to know what it will do to my chances of getting into med school if I take the W? Or should I take the C?

my guess is the W looks worse.

If you were choosing between two people as your doctor, would you rather have the one who isn’t that great at Nature of Politics, or the one who tells you that if something is difficult he’ll give up (or the one who has to lie to give a reason that sounds better)?

Also, unless you really failed the midterm, can’t you bust your ass and bring that C up to at least a B with a strong finish on the final?

I disagree with Brown. A W in a Frosh course is not as noticeable as what a C- will do the cum gpa.

That’s a great link. I stand corrected
