Need some advice on some annoying decisions; need help!

Well I'm to be a senior this year, and I plan to apply to some of the bigger schools this fall/winter for college (HYPS, Brown, Rice, Wash U, etc.). There are 2 things that are irking me though; I'm not sure whether these are big factors, but anyway, I'd like your opinions on them.

I've taken 10 AP Exams so far and I've gotten 5s on 9 of them (BC Calc, Bio, Physics B, HUG, World History, APUSH, English, Macroeconomics, and Psychology) and 1 4 in AP Environmental Science. I know you don't have to show all your AP scores, and I'm debating on whether or not to show the colleges my 4 on APES. What do you think? Should I show them all the scores (so they don't get suspicious if I didn't take all my exams) or should I just show my 9 5s (I'm sure not too many applicants have that many straight 5s) but then risk them getting suspicious by not showing that APES score. I know a 4 is still a very good score, but it's a perfect record vs a near-perfect record. I'd really like input on this.

Also, I took 3 years of Spanish (up to Spanish 3 Pre-AP in sophomore year), but for my junior year I didn't continue on to Spanish 4 AP. The colleges I'm applying supposedly like 4 years of foreign language, but it'd look kinda weird if I suddenly took up Spanish AP after dropping it for a year. So I'm debating between taking Spanish 4 AP this year (fulfilling 4 years of foreign language, albeit it'll look a bit weird because it wasn't 4 consecutive years) or just taking AP Comp Sci (which honestly I'm only taking because it's easier than Spanish 4 AP (the class not the exam); I'm not interested in computer science really).
Which class do you think will benefit me more?

If you could give me your honest opinions, I would be extremely grateful, as I'm going to talk with my counselor next week on my schedule options. I just don't want to make a choice which'll lower my chances for admissions for the colleges.

THank you

Worrying about putting down your 4 on a single AP test on your application or not is ridiculous, bordering on idiotic. Just put it down.

And I don’t see how it’s “weird” that you’re not doing a language consecutively. If you’re not interested in computer science, then take Spanish. Easy.

Go ahead and include the AP ES score of 4–it will make you appear honest and forthright in presenting your entire profile.

Take the Spanish 4 AP, you will have the 4 years of a foreign language that HYPS desires (when they say they prefer 4 years, the hidden message is have 4 years). You may score well enough on the Spanish AP or Subject test to place out of the language requirement at the Ivies. Language classes are notoriously hard at Ivies, and they can quickly kill a GPA.

Good luck

Doesn’t matter that you skipped a year, take AP Spanish. No school will care about one 4.

if you already have 10 ap’s, show them all. a 4 is still much better than most people get. In addition, most colleges still give college credit for a 4.

3 years of language vs 4 is something that is not the most important part of your application. I feel that having 4 years is more beneficial for students who need a boost than having 3 years is detrimental for those who already have amazing academics. I would say as long as your gpa reflects your AP’s, you should be perfectly fine.

If you don’t show the 4, and your record shows you took 10 APs, the admissions people may think you are concealing a score of 1 or 2. Is this an assumption you are willing to let them make?
