Need some advice on transferring to Cornell

Hi there

I am a freshman applying to transfer to Cornell Engineering Computer Science Dept. as a transfer student for the Fall 2007. I studied at the University of Edinburgh, UK for one semester only, got a 4.0 GPA (but withdrawn from an elective course, I hope this won't hurt me), transferred to King Fahd University, Saudi Arabia. I'm a US citizen but my native language is not English, lived in Saudi Arabia my whole life. I only took the SAT twice last year, my scores are SAT I Math 800 (first student in my high school's history to get an 800), low scores on the verbal and writing sections (I hope it won't be a problem since English is not my first language and I got a very high TOEFL score 270/300), SAT II Math IC 710 Math IIC 690 Physics 630 and AP Calculus BC 5.
My high school GPA is 93/100, I attended a college prep. program for one year and got a 3.1/4.0 GPA and I'm thinking about not sending its transcript because of the low GPA.
Work experience: worked in a computer company for about 3 years as a computer technician, worked as a salesperson in a computer store for about a year (Do I need to send something to prove this?).
ECs: will I lived in Saudi Arabia so my I didn't have many opportunities, I was a president of the speech club in high school, did some community service, active member of some computer clubs and other activities but nothing unique.
Essays: I tried to show that I'm really interested in the computer science program and that Cornell is my best fit, my teacher who graduated from Yale said that my essay alone is enough to get me in, which means it is great (strange topic about women breasts).
Recommendations: Got one letter from My computer science professor who graduated from Cornell and my father knows a professor at Cornell that I'm trying to get a letter of recommendation from although he doesn't know me well.
I will not be able to complete all the prerequisite courses by the the end of this semester, but I will complete them by the end of the Summer semester, although I already completed some advanced computer science and math courses at the University of Edinburgh, UK.

Do you have any advice to improve my application and make it stand out?

you will have to submit critical reading/writing scores either way. lots of people in that program get 800 math, physics, chem, and still manage to get a 700+ in the other sections. i guess you're still in the running but low scores in those other sections won't help unless you've taken some advanced literature/writing classes at your other university so that cornell can see those high marks. in addition, your sat II scores are pretty low for engineering. a 93/100 isn't a very high GPA unless your ranking was like top 5% which means you went to a pretty crappy high school. a 93 wouldn't be so bad if you went to say, stuyvesant hs in nyc or any other one of those top nyc high schools. also, i'm not sure how someone who doesn't know you, who just happens to work at cornell and is friends with your father, write you a good recommendation letter. make sure to think of good reasons as to you you want to transfer twice. good luck.
