Need some advice on whether to drop courses

Hi. I'm new here and signed up because I am having a lot of trouble making a decision. I am six credits away from my mechanical engineering degree. I am taking the Vibrations summer course and having a lot of trouble with the course, due to the pacing. I was just wondering if it would hurt my job prospects if I decided to go part-time next semester and drop these summer courses. I cannot keep up. The pace is killing me. After studying for hours upon end, I realized I needed more help. Any answers are appreciated.

If it helps, I plan to also study for my GREs during my part-time status, so it won't be me fooling around. I also plan to immediately start looking at job prospects as soon as a drop these courses, very early, so I can be ready. I have already written most of my resume and having several good credentials from projects, extracurriculars, an internship and a 3.1 overall GPA with a 3.3 major GPA.

I don’t see why it would hurt your job prospects. You have a good GPA and it’s better to realize you are in over your head and reassess rather than just take the course and fail it. I wouldn’t worry.

Summer courses move A LOT faster than fall and spring.
