As of now, I'm enrolled in Chemistry 130 and Chemistry 125/126, English 124, French 232, and Psych 111. I'm also participating in UROP as part of my work study. At the end of the semester, I should have about 17 credits. However, I'm thinking about dropping psychology. A lot of students say that 17 credits is too much with UROP, but my advisor told me that the load should be easy to manage. I don't want to overwhelm myself during my first semester... what do you guys think?

Personally, I decided to drop to 15 hours with no UROP. I "think" I could handle more, but didn't really want to take a chance of over-loading myself first semester while I'm learning the ropes. I also figured I have 3 1/2 years plus summers to add more later (and I'm taking a college class this summer). Also, I want a chance to meet more people and go to Michigan football games, etc. Of course, it all boils down to a personal decision and your comfort level. I'm sure you will get advice both ways on your question.

Psych 111 is a pretty easy class, it won't really reduce your workload by dropping it. Your courses are not too intense, I think you'd be fine. I guess it just depends on how much time you want spend on your classes and how dedicated you are.

Yeah, I keep hearing psych is an easy class. Hm, I think I've decided to drop it. Chemistry has always been a struggle for me so I think it's going to occupy a lot of my time. Hopefully, this way I'll have a little bit more breathing room so I can adjust to the whole college environment. Thanks for the input, guys. I appreciate it.

i don't know about you guys, but i struggled with psych. some people love it.. some people hate it. i hated it.
