So I took the SATs in october of my junior year and got a 2260, which I thought was a respectable score on my first try.

I wasn't going to take any more tests until I found out that Harvard superscores, or takes the combination of the highest scores from all your SAT scores. So herein lies my dilemma...

Will taking the test only once and getting a score like a 2260 be seen as a good thing? Or should I take the test again (getting around the same score) just to reap the benefits of superscoring? Will the latter be seen as a lack of improvement from test to test?

Ok... weird b/c my last name is choi as well and i got a 2260 the first time. haha

but anywho. i recommend you taking it only if you will either do considerably better on the retest (which is pretty difficult to do...) or if you're superscore becomes much better than just you're original one.

i got a 2260 the first time i took it in Jan. 2008 M800 CR670 W790.
however, the second time in June 2008, I received a 2290: M770 CR760 W760 showing, essentially, that i improved greatly on one subject even if my other scores went down a little.

And... my superscore became 2350 which is significantly better than a mere 2260.

Either way, it's you're decision. You should only take it again if you're confident that you can do at least a little bit better.
