Need some advise for my class grade

For my intro to circuits class, I had a professor who's class average was consistently less than 1.0 (less than a D). Other than this she was also the worst teacher imaginable. Anyways, after the first test (there is only 1 test and a final), I got a 45% on it which was worth 45% of my grade as well. Failed both unannounced quizzes as well. It ended up being that I would need a 100% on the final (which only had 1 question on it) in order to get a 65% in the class which of course is not passing. So considering this, I tried to drop the class but was denied. That didn't seem like a big deal because I could just use grade forgiveness credits and retake the class next quarter.

But here's where I'm confused about what happened and what should happen now. I studied for the final and took it, just for the hell of it even though I was sure there was no chance of getting anything higher than a D (apparently there is no curve as well, according to everyone who's taken this professor before). After taking the test I knew for sure I missed almost half the possible points, after computing the problem on my computer. So I was prepared to get an F and retake the class. So imagine my surprise when I find out I got a C in the course, which is why I'm not sure how to think of this. It means I don't have to retake it obviously, but it also means I can't retake the class because it's not a C- or lower. I can't move onto the next class in the sequence next quarter anyway, so retaking this class would have had no downside that I can think of, and in fact seems like it would be a better decision since I would probably get an A. I'm convinced my professor purposely gave me a C so that I would be stuck with a permanent GPA hit, because she knew I was planning on retaking the class with a much easier professor. I can't figure out any other explanation because I had the same exact points as someone else in the class, and he ended up with a D-, and I should have ended up with an F since I scored at least 10 points less on the final than he did.

My question is should I just live with this C, or should I try to convince my professor to lower my grade so that I can retake the class to raise my GPA? Assuming this is possible, I can't figure out if this would be worth it. I can't think of any negatives other than having 2 more hours of class every week, but the positives would include a higher grade, and being more prepared for the next class in the sequence, the following quarter. Any thoughts on this? What would look worse to an interviewer, seeing that someone retook a class with a C-, or with a slightly lower GPA than there otherwise would be?

More negatives: Paying for an extra class, and wasting time on material you’ve already learned that would’ve been better spent elsewhere (or taking a new class).

I find it hard to believe the teacher would’ve purposefully given you a C to try to mess up your plans… she probably ended up curving something.

If it was me, I would take the C. In the future, try check up on your professors before signing up for the class, and if the average is a D, avoid them and take the course later.

But the tuition is the same price for anything over 6 units, and I’d be retaking it with an easy professor where I don’t see too much time being wasted. And there’s no other class that I could take instead, but I don’t want to run the risk of my professor lowering my grade to an F when I ask to retake the class, since that is the actual percentage I got. She doesn’t curve grades so this had to be the only reason why I got a C.

I sent my professor an email about lowering my grade, I’ll write what she says as soon as she emails me back.
