Need some advise from senior members, I scored a 1970 June SAT

In my case, it was largely natural progression.

LOL, I will be here for 3+ years or so, just trying to insert some levity into these boards.

Conquad, do not get down on yourself. You have taken these standardized tests your whole life. Trust me, I was not happy with my score either, do not get mad, get even! Use CC for knowledge and fight fire with fire.

Conquad: Yeah, some prep would be good.

So you’re not competitive for top 20 schools. It’s still all good. There are plenty of places you’ll be able to get in to. If you were thinking about Ivies, I’m sorry to disappoint. But you’ll still get in to college :)

huzzah!!! my willpower has been replenished! time to hit the books.

but truthfully, thank you for the kind words. I don’t think the low score necessarily reflects my true intelligence but more or less my ignorance in taking the SAT.

Conquad, it took me to a couple of weeks to come to terms with my results. I know I have the intelligence to conquer the SAT. I liken the test to a great pitcher who is allowed to use the spit ball at will. The CB is trying everything in their power to make the questions more complicated than they actually are, do not fall for their tricks! My plan is to study the BB and meet them face to face in the “alley” where they live. When I take it again in my sophomore year they will wish they never met me :)

Wow. 1970 is excellent for a rising freshman. Great job!

Also, in high school make sure to take challenging classes, especially AP Composition. It really helps, and I regret not taking it.

■■■■■, i got a 1920 (on a practice test) i think in freshman year, and 1960 in soph year lol PSAT wise. Then a 2100 Junior year with prep even though my practice tests average was a 2240. I just suck in real testing conditions. Too much pressure.

that’s why the ACT’s exist. Woohoo!
