Need some CR insight

For me, when it comes to CR, I never find that I have enough time to finish everything. It seriously stinks cause English wasn't my first language so its harder for me to like "read between the lines" for what the passages are implying and stuff and plus, my vocab isn't all that great either.

So when it comes to critical reading, I always get screwed over cause I don't have enough time to read through the vocab questions at the beginning and try and figure out all the context clues or whatever and then still read those ridicioulsy long passages and comprehend all that info in there and answer all the questions. But yet, like half the questions in each section are based on the long passages.

Sorry for the long rant but seriously WHAT THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO IN THIS KIND OF SITUATION???

A try to do the sentence completion; study SAT vocabulary words you can do at least 1-8 out of the 19 by studing some of the SAT vocabulary.

As for text I am also a non native speaker
For the short passage just read them and then do the questions

For the long passages , first of all go to the text with most of the question (if there are 2 different text)
read the all text but read in an attampt to understand what the passage and the paragraph are all about:

Like if the text is on global warming, and the author say it is a nonsense so you can know he is skeptical;
with every paragraph try to understand what it gives you like an example . jot down next to each paragraph a key word like : Example why it is a nonsense or example: data that refute it.

You might ask why? because when you read the all text you get it gist, and when you start the question and there is a reference to a row you know what is the big picture of the row’s paragraph

now if you know the answer great. if not read 2-3 rows above and below the row there might be clues there.

now if you have time go to the next text and do the same

,if you are short on time
split the text read the first paragraph and maybe the second and try to answer the questions you can, and go on with the spliting.

Or you can start with “what the word <x> refer to ?” etc. and then do the other questions</x>
