Need some help about summer internships

I’m thinkin about startin an available internship/volunteer job for a physician at a nearby hospital. Does this help alot on college applications or is it just a waste of time? Do colleges even consider this stuff?

It depends on the college where you are applying. Large public universities tend to be more numbers driven, but extremely/very selective colleges use the EC's and essays to select between applicants who all have the necessary academic measures. You don't seem very enthusiastic about volunteering.

I think you should go for that internship thing
I did a 6-week internship program this summer ina hospital and it was awesome- I got to spend at least 2 days in each dept. and it taught me so much about what doctors do
I got paid doing it too
so if you can find a program that you think you might like, just go and do it
