So I really want to score well on the Math Level 2 test in October, so I was wondering what books would be best to start off with. Let me just say I'm not amazing at math, but I know I could learn it if I really tried. I only got a 640 on my SAT 1 math score and I know it's not that high, but I got the highest score in my class. And that was without any studying at all. Reason being that we've had 5 math teachers in 3 years, all but one being crappy teachers.

Long story short... our freshman geometry teacher was fired because he didn't tell the staff he was on medication for being.... umm.. well kinda crazy..lol.. and his replacement couldn't teach geometry if it saved her life. So I had to teach myself geometry the whole year. Our algebra 2 teacher just took too long to explain easy concepts, so we didn't even get close to finishing the book. She quit a week before finals. And our pre-calculus teacher was the best teacher I ever had. But he was given pre-cal, calc, and algebra 1 to teach, and he left because all the trouble makers were in algebra 1 and he couldn't handle it. So we were given a teacher who thought we had learned everything since geometry and taught us all too fast. I actually did learn from her, but she left after about one month. Thank God our original teacher came back for the last month of school. Unfortunately he won't be here next year to teach us calculus.

I want to get multiple books and I've been looking at the Barron's book, but lots of people say the books are full of errors. Sooo.... what would you guys recommend.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
