Hey I already made a chance post, but I need help looking for safeties. I'm a virginia state resident, and I need to look for cheap public schools that are safeties(I'll take out of state options too as long as it's not too expensive.).
I'll just quickly post my stats:
SAT: 1990(M:680 V:650 W:660)
gpa: 4.0
ec's:average(don't feel like listing them, but to summarize the important points, captain of golf team, chess club for two years, and NHS Theres more but I don't feel like typing more cuz im tired)
rank: 7 out of 132
ap's: I had none in my old school, but my new school offers some so Im taking 4 my senior year.
Since I am new to Virginia, I'd like a more in depth look at James Madison, Virginia Tech, etc., and would appreciate anyone who is able to tell me more about these colleges, and any other possible safeties. My dream school is William and Mary, but it's gonna be tough.
Well thanks for taking the time to read the thread if you did:)

Pretty much most state's flagship state schools will be safeties: University of Georgia, University of Tennessee, Auburn University, NC State, Maryland--College Park, the list goes on and on. Do you have any specifics to give us, such as importance of sports, location, size, major, etc...

I dont think W&M will be that tough. It's possible you wouldn't get in, but it doesn't look like there's any reason you wouldn't. I'm from VA as well. I've heard nothing but good things about pretty much all of Virginia's public schools (especially JMU, Tech, UVA, and W&M), so I think you'll be very happy wherever you end up.

thx for the responses guys. Anyone else?

Ohio University would be an inexpensive safety as well as some schools with admit rates greater 75%
