Hey guys, I'm a junior looking to narrow down my college options and having a hard time. I'm an African American male from florida and really enjoy politics and government. I have a 4.2 gpa (3.75 uw. top 5%) and a 1380 SAT (2000/2400). My EC's are more than solid as is my community service. I'm looking for a school in a decent sized city, as long as there are things to do. Mid to large in size with a strong politcs department and strong political activism. Money is a big deal to me but so are academics. I'm looking at UVA, GTown, and FSU right now and leaning toward the latter simply because of the obvious financial benefits and the political atmosphere. I doubt I would get nearly as much money from the first two and could probably come out of FSU with money in my pocket. The academics are the only things that are making me hesitate on this school. Any other ideas?

Thanks so much that list is great. I've considered the two schools you've suggested however GWU is far too much money for what its worth (at least in my opinion), and Tufts is slightly too cold for a Florida boy.
