Need some Help.

About a year and a half ago, I was academically dismissed from my university for a requirement to meet the min GPA for the engineering college. In the interim, I've been working a full time job while taking an classes at a SUNY as a non-matric. student.

My initial GPA from the school I was academically dismissed from was a 2.2 yes low I know. However after taking a year of classes I maintained a GPA of 3.79 and applied to SUNY schools in New York to transfer. My main goal was to transfer into Stony Brook and finish off my intended degree there Chemistry, however after just checking my applicant link I saw I was rejected as a transfer student.

Now with all my Gen Ed's finished and my basic chemistry requirements I don't know what to do. Do I take another semester as a non matric? Or do I just wait till the next application? I'm sorry if this isn't as a descriptive as could be. It's just after messing up once in my life, I just feel like I messed up again, not being able to transfer into a college...

Does anyone have any advice on what I should do?! I just applied to my first school in hopes of getting back in.. but besides that I don't know what to do, since I was rejected from my school of choice.
