Need some ideas for New England and southern schools to apply to?

@Oregon2016 she would be competitive for UNC Wilmington and Asheville, as well as App State. HPU would be a safety.

Bryant is a good choice, but remember you’ll have to as a Psych major take some business courses (this may be an advantage if you are considering applied psychology as you get a taste of marketing, etc…but if you want to go the D.Psy route, maybe not).

Salve Regina is in beautiful area (and Catholic) in RI…

If you seriously love Providence and SR, and you’re safely in their middle 50% for admitted students, don’t fall prey to the “you can do better” message from your counselor. Apply to both schools with the confidence that you’re likely to be accepted and be able to attend a school you love. Both schools have Early Action options.

I would say before adding more schools, run the NPC and speak with your parents.

Depending on the results, it will probably make sense for you to add one or two schools as financial safe schools.
I agree as others mentioned above that you need to have a conversation with your parents now - not after you’ve been accepted - about what their payment capabilities are and how that will factor in to which schools you can comfortably apply to.

If they say they’re happy to pay full price at your two first choices, then good for you.
The total COA at Providence is around $60k, but they have merit and need-based aid.
Total COA at Salve Regina is around $55k, with both need and merit-based aid available.

It would help if we had an idea about cost and whether you qualify for FA or need merit aid. I second the recommendation of Wofford and College of Charleston in SC and Elon and UNC Asheville in NC. I think your stats may be too low for Furman.

@JGreen27 Did you read the original post? What are you doing suggesting these schools?

Apply to a few SUNY 's. I don’t know which one is the best for psychology.
Your GPA is not very high for Clark, making it a reach, but I think it’s worth trying especially because you have course rigor.
Seconding Unc Wilmington.
Look at St Lawrence, Elmira, Muhlenberg, Goucher, Simmons, Ohio University, Miami Ohio.
