Need Some Input/Help

I was just wondering about my chances for being accepted to FSU for the fall or possibly the summer semester of 2014. I'm a second semester freshman at a private university in Virginia. I had a 3.8 GPA first semester taking 15 credit hours, and I'm taking 15 more hours this semester. My High school GPA was a 3.171, which I know is very poor. I have somewhat of an upward grade trend in high school. 3.1--->2.6(2 AP Classes)----> 3.3--->3.6(4 AP classes). SAT of 1150/1720. I've heard its easier to get into summer, but do I have a chance for the fall? Do I have a chance at all or should I be looking at other places to transfer as well? Thanks! Also caught in between Political Science and Accounting for Majors.

Yes, you have a chance, since you meet the minimum requirements to transfer (a 3.0 GPA on college coursework, etc).

Does that mean you’ll be accepted? No. Your high school GPA is low, to the point that I wouldn’t say you were safe by a long shot. What helps is that your college work so far has a high GPA, although with only 1 semester complete, you may be required to send in grades from this semester before you even get an admissions decision.

So they will delay their decision on me and wait for my university to send them my second semester grades for the fall? And what you say you wouldn’t say I’m safe by a long shot, are you saying that I have a 50/50 shot more or less?
