Need some insight

I want to explain my situation and hopefully get some feedback. I am now finishing up my junior year in college. When I was a freshman I messed up. My gpa was incredibly low. I took four years off, grew up, and restarted my college career. My gpa at my current college is a 3.8 with 94 hours down. However, with my terrible freshman year thrown in, it looks like when I finish my senior year my gpa will be about a 3.4 or 3.3, even with having a 3.8 gpa for four years. Is there any hope for me to get into med school?

Of which state are you a resident? Many schools will overlook that freshman year bobble and more heavily weigh your recent work, but many other schools will screen you out of consideration before a real person even looks at your application. You will need to research which schools are more open minded.

I’m a resident of Tennessee.
