Need some more safeties and matches

GPA UW: 4.00
ACT: 34
SAT 2 Subjects:
Math II 800
Bio M 740
Chem 740

Pretty good ECs in leadership stuff.

Really would appreciate if someone could help me right now. Thanks!

It’s REALLY hard to tell from your stats. That 4.0 could’ve been from a courseload of eother all standard classe or all APs.

What’s your intended major?

You could get in just about anywhere. But I’ll list some hardcore safeties for you:

Safeties:
Alcorn State University

@AnEpicIndian: your constant pejoratives about Alcorn State are getting tired. Actual people attend that school you know. Why don’ t you drop it? It’s offensive.

@jelly765 The best source of true safeties for you is your guidance counselor.

I suppose I should. I only use in moments when I feel sarcasm is necessary for the OP to understand what he or she has just posted.

I attempt wryness and sarcasm too. But to denigrate an existing college – just not cool, eh? You and I can both imagine that obtaining a degree from there might be a lifetime’s apex achievement for many people. Stay with the sarcasm – if it’s your voice – just do so not at the expense of others, i’d suggest.

OP… it is late in the game (I assume you are a senior) to just be thinking about matches and safeties. They are harder to find than reaches, you should have started with them instead of tacking them on the tail end of your search with a very generic posting of stats and expectations that you will get suggestions that might be a fit for you.

Information that would help:

 • What colleges are already on your list? What do you like about them (besides prestige)?
 • What is your financial situation?
 • What is your home state?
 • What is your proposed major?
 • Size preference, geographic preference, any particular activities you are looking for as ECs?

The safest potential safeties with automatic full RIDE scholarships for your stats, as listed at http://automaticfulltuition.yolasite.com/</a> , would include:

Troy
Tuskegee
Alabama State
Arkansas - Monticello (if top 10%)
Howard (first come first served scholarship)
Louisiana Tech
Louisiana - Monroe
Prairie View A&M

However, answers to the questions in reply #5 can help others help you find other suitable safeties. The list may increase if you do not need a full ride, or have in-state public opportunities. The list may be reduced or screened by majors of interest and other preferences.

These are good safeties for top students if you can afford them:
NYU
University of Wisconsin
McGill University
University of Toronto
University of British Columbia
University of Washington
University of Arizona
University of Colorado
University of Connecticut
UMASS
The Ohio State University (Honors)
Penn State
University of Pittsburgh (Honors)
University of Alabama (automatic full-tuition scholarship)
Case Western
University of Delaware (Honors)
Boston University

Matches, though quite likely

UMichigan
UTexas - Austin
Tulane (Good FA and merit)
Rochester (Good FA and merit)
Brandeis (Good FA some merit)
Wake Forest
UMiami
