I have a good average in my core curriculum classes and my more recent electives, but in my freshmen and sophmore years I took a class that just served as an outlet to fool around (chorus). I got a 69 my first year, and I could've quit while I was behind and try to rebuild but I took the class again and got a 63. Anyways, my average without it isn't great, but it would be about an 88 rather than 83.5 . I haven't taken school very seriously and I'm just starting to realize my potential and I can realistically maintain a 95 average for the rest of my junior year. If my record outside that one class is good do you think most colleges will overlook this and realize that the class had nothing to do with my major, will they give me no sympathy and consider me just another face in the croud that has made such mistakes, or will they not even give me a fair look at all? I know I will be able to get good Sat and Act scores so can I overcome such a black eye, or am I on the path to a community college? All I really want is to be able to get accepted to a quality reputable college. Thank you for reading this, any imput would be greatly appreciated.
