Need some quick advice. (math)

I been using the "take 10" practice test by sparknotes. I purchased it because it had the explanations and the blue book did not. Would I get better results by using the blue book or the sparknotes tests?

I feel lost in the blue book because, it has no explanations.

What do you guys recommend?

Any help will be appreciated.

Stick with the blue book tests since they're made by the guys who make the real tests. The fact that there aren't explanations may be able to help you since you're FORCED to reason out why your answer was incorrect.

Even when I took practice tests from other books, I consciously did not look at their explanations for things I got right/wrong -- I always reasoned it out myself (even if it took a while!)

If you feel lost in the blue book, then trash it, as it's probably not going to help you that much. If you can't get an answer wrong and can't figure out why, then that's just wasting time.

yes thats precisely how i feel. I have spent over twenty minutes in one problem, which agrivates me. I'll usually end up mad at myself. What I will do is use the BB for the reading portion, has for the math portion, I will do it once I finish the math in the Practice 10 book.

Another question I have is: Would I improve my reading score more by focusing on practice alone or memorizing words? or both?
