<p>It feels like a waste to apply to Berkely b/c I’m OOS (I’m OOS for Chapel Hill too). Berkely is the best public university in the nation, I know, but paying around 55-60K a year is ridiculous. I won’t get need based aid, so unless it’s HYPSM or Amherst, there’s no way I would even consider spending that much. But believe me, I wish I lived in California. Having schools like Berkely and UCLA are inexpensive in-state options is amazing.</p>
