Hey guys, I've thought a lot about different schools, and I want to know what schools are pretty much transfer friendly, I'm a biology major. I'm in state for UIUC so I'm applying for that, and I really like Cornell so I'm applying to that. I want to add one more school. I've looked at Stanford, UPenn, RPI, University of Chicago, Northwestern, and Rice. You guys have another suggestions? I've temporarily ruled out UPenna and Stanford because I don't think I have a realistic chance, RPI due to social reasons and it being in the middle of nowhere and not having any girls, and Rice is sort of far for me. Any schools that I'm missing that are great for biology but that are also top tier?

Yea i'd be intersted in hearing about those schools as well, in particular U chicago.

And about transferring to RPI, bullseye, id be glad to answer any Q's because im transfering outta there.

How is it? Academics, girls, social life, studying, resources, laptop requirement, and anything you specifically know about biology majors? What's making you transfer out? How's premed there? How are working out facilities and research and is there stuff to do around there? I guess I really want to know a lot about it, but what's your experience been? Again, why are you trying to transfer?

i dunno too much about colleges, whats RPI

Hm...i'll start with why i want to transfer out : I never really paid attention to the whoel college thing when i was applying, and only really applied there cuz my parents wanted me to. I got it in and just went there w/o really lookin much into it and i guess since then ive learned more about what i want to do with my life and RPI isnt where i want to do it. Its too much of a technical school for me and im looking for more of a liberal arts school. There is a social life at RPI, though it is mostly in fraternities - something that im not up for. I was told the academics woudl be extremely difficult and lots of work, but i found it not to be bad at all. My class for chicks is 22%...which for me, sucks. hah , another reason why liberal arts woudl be better for me. I dont know much about biology or premed, tho i think bioenginerring or something is a big major there that people do w/ premed. My major is physics and i guess, to be honest, I am looking for a school w/ a better 'name' in it.
