I really want to do something with health sciences during graduate school but can some one clarify what "pre-med" is and what are some other alternatives there are for it

Pre-med is a series of courses that you need to take in order to apply for admission to med school. Usually this includes Intro Bio, Intro Chem, Organic Chem, Intro Physics, and Calculus. You can major in any subject area that you want to and still apply to med school. Most people major in a science because the pre-med courses will count toward that major.

You need to think about what career it is that you want in health sciences, so that you can take the undergrad courses that will get you into the grad program you want. Then read through the grad school admissions requirements for the programs that you are interested in so that you can find out what you need to cover during your undergrad years.
