I am looking for a college that is active in community service and experiential opportunities, is not super pressurized but is supportive and challenging and has lots of discussion and faculty/student interaction.

Any thoughts will be very helpful.

Thanks!

How much can your family afford? You have some good options on your list but they will be expensive. Consider Antioch College (not currently accredited but they are pursuing that and should be while you are in school). Also look at this list: [Quaker-originated Colleges and Universities](Quaker-originated Colleges and Universities)

We are fortunate to have college tuition remission so we don’t need to apply for FA.

Is your tuition remission good at all schools or is there a list of schools available to you?

You have quite a few already. How about Hampshire College? Personalized study, Queer studies, Social Change, Globalization/Third World Studies, a senior year of advanced study with independent project, access to the 5 college consortium.

I know a graduate who did his project on urban transportation and worked at a nonprofit who dealt with that.

You have Earlham listed twice in your list. Probably because it fits your criteria well. Kenyon might be more competitive to get into than you are looking for. Are you looking for a specific area of the country?

Mainly commutable from Philadelphia - but Earlham is the exception as I heard so many good things about it. Haven’t been able to visit and probably wouldn’t unless I’m accepted because of distance.

Is your tuition remission good at all universities? Have you tried the College Selection Engine available on the CC main page?

Yes, tuition remission good anywhere - we’re very lucky.
So we have the luxury of looking at small liberal arts.

Another school my DD looked at was Lake Forest.

Trinity, Conn College, Kenyon, and especially Vassar will be reaches for your stats.

Given your interests, a relatively urban location might work better for you (other things being equal). Possibilities: Clark University, Eugene Lang, Sarah Lawrence.
