Need suggestions for schools to apply to

I'm looking for good business schools that I have a good chance of getting into as well as a few "reach" schools. Can you guys please give me some suggestions based off of my stats:

SAT
CR- 590
M- 770
W- 670
Total- 2030

Plan to get a 30 or 31 on ACT

Unweighted GPA- 3.9ish
Weighted GPA- 5.46
Class rank- Top 3.3 percent

Advanced placement classes
AP Comp. Sci.- 4
AP world history but didn't take exam

Taking All IB classes now for the IB diploma

Extracurriculars- I am President of my school's chess team, secretary of an Eco-friendly club, Treasurer of this charity business club that our school has. I'm in National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and National Society of High School Scholars. I've also competed in Business Professionals of America competition and placed in Regionals competitions. I do not take part in any athletic activities.

Volunteer- Probably have around 300-400 hours from temples, library, and other organizations.

Thanks!

Not knowing where you want to go to school or the size school you want makes this a little hard but here are some suggestions of three very different schools with business schools.

Tufts
Claremont McKenna
GWU

Oh. Sorry about that. I live in Texas and I’ll go anywhere for college. And affordability doesn’t matter too much. We can afford up to like 50 or 60 thousand a year.

UT obviously.

Thanks for the details. If you want to get out of Texas by all means feel like you should! Texas is great and all but I am sure just like any place enough is enough. I recommend you look at a middle size, small size and big size school and decided which one you like best then look at more schools of that size. Do that also for suburbs or city. This will help you narrow down the many schools out there.

Thanks for the advice! I looked into some and am considering UCLA, UT, BU, Emory, UTD, University of Michigan, and University of Virginia. However, what do you guy think? Can I make it into these colleges? And do you guys know any other schools that I’d be a good fit for?

UCLA doesn’t have a business school

Boston College
Notre Dame
Indiana

Actually, I did some research and UCLA does have a great business school. Thanks for the other schools though. I’ll look into them. So… what do you guys think my chances of getting into these colleges are?

Holy Cross-top25 LAC with very good economics and accounting majors. Also might look at Babson College.

I’m 95% sure that UCLA-Anderson is graduate only and that UCLA doesn’t offer any undergraduate Business major.

Barrk123, it seems that you are right. Sorry about that. My research was incomplete i guess. Thanks though. Now I won’t be applying to UCLA anymore lol.

And par72, thanks for the suggestions, but I don’t think those colleges are quite what I’m looking for.

I agree, don’t discount UT. You can look into NYU or Fordham if you want to experience life in NYC. You might also consider UMichigan (although they have very few preferential admits to the Ross business school - most people have to apply after their freshman year). As a reach, you might consider Cornell (Dyson School). If you can get that CR score over 600 it would help your chances.

They offer an UG major in Business Econ. Same thing.

Your CR score is going to hurt you. Don’t think you’ll sail into schools like Notre Dame, NYU, or UCLA based on this thread of suggestions.
