Need suggestions, need to find a match!

My stats:
Private High School
GPA 2.9 unweight (Math an issue)
SAT 1970(CR 770 Math 540 Writing 660)]
SAT Subject Test- World History 800 & American History 780
I would like to go to college in the Northeast, anywhere from Washington D.C. to Boston. I prefer to be near a city or a vibrant college town, nothing rural. Small to midsize school.
I plan to double major in History and Political Science.
Suggestions please!
Thank you

Just slightly beyond Washington, take a look at Goucher in Baltimore.

Thank you, I have been reading up on Goucher.

Dickinson.

What can your family afford? have you run the net price calculators? what are your parents promising you?

Full pay? If not, what is your family contribution?

Give Drew (Madison, NJ) a shot, if finances aren’t a concern. It is an easy train ride into NYC. Eugene Lang/New School in NYC is also a possibility, although they’ve become more selective recently. You might have a shot at American University. Rider, in Lawrenceville, NJ, is probably a safety for you. It is very easy to get into Philly from there, and not too far from NYC, with Princeton practically next door. There are lots of small-ish colleges in PA that you could get into pretty easily.
