NYU Application Supplement filled out by the Freshmen Class of 2010-2011.

Demographic/ Background Questions for the Candidate, followed by:

I. Academic Information

a) Are you currently attending high school or college?

Yes
No
If no, please describe your activities since last enrolled.

Characters available 500

b) In addition to any work experience that you listed on your application, please tell us how you spent your most recent summer vacation. (Not sure how many characters, maybe 500?)

II. Personal Statements

a) If you had the opportunity to spend one day in New York City with a famous New Yorker, who would it be and what would you do? (Your New Yorker can be anyone -past or present, fictional or nonfictional - who is commonly associated with New York City; they do not necessarily have to have been born and raised in New York.)

b) Write a haiku, limerick, or short (eight lines or less) poem that best represents you.

c) In the year 2050, a movie is being made of your life. Please tell us the name of your movie and briefly summarize the story line.

d) Please tell us what led you to select your anticipated academic program and/or NYU school/college, and what interests you most about your intended discipline.

I am not sure how many characters Items II a-d ask for since the total characters allowed get replaced by characters remaining once you have responded to the questions. Just remember these are SHORT ANSWERS (all likely to be 500 characters or less).

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND NYU MAY RE-VAMP ALL OF THE QUESTIONS FOR THE NEW UPCOMING YEAR’S APPLICATION, SO YOU MAY BE BEST SERVED TO START YOUR WORK WHEN YOU GET THE ACTUAL QUESTIONS FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR.

I just posted the past year’s NYU supplement questions to give you a general idea of what might be expected in the supplement for NYU, besides some demographic/ background questions about the candidate.

My info posted is based on the assumption that you were asking for the NYU Supplement that was required for this past year’s NYU application.
