I know this might be a strange question, but if someone is sending a recommendation letter for me (not a HS teacher), would they send it to the address of the admisssions office? (found on the contact me page on Penn website)

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions
University of Pennsylvania
1 College Hall, Room 1
Philadelphia, PA 19104-6376
etc. etc.

Also, whom should they address in the letter, since there's like an entire team working on applications? Is it ok to just put To The Office of Undergraduate Admissions?

Thanks!

OH…and on that note…does anyone know if Penn even accepts extra nonteacher recommendation letters? I couldn’t find anything on their site about it.

If they do, then can the recommender just send the letter, or do they have to fill out a teacher evaluation?
(on comm app it says that nonteacher recommenders should fill out teacher recommnedation, but none of the questions on the form apply to my situation)

Thanks!

I know this isn’t the answer you’re looking for, but you can always just email admissions? They would be glad to answer any questions you have.

lol yeah i did that…but I heard that they are very slow (sometimes dont’ even reply) at emailing…and I need to know ASAP whether or not they nonteachers need to fill teacher evaluations even if the content of the evaluation does not apply at all…

Hey they replied. Thanks everyone!

what exactly did they say? (i also have the same question)
thanks!

I told em that none of the teacher evaluation applies to my case, so they said that they don’t need to fill out form, but they have to mail it in a sealed envelope with your name/info on it.

cool, thanks so much
