<p>i have no idea where i want to go or what i want to major in, anyone have any tips? really need some help here.</p>

<p>You are planning to spend an awful lot of money for an education that you have no idea what it should consist of or what you will do with it. So if you are going to go to one of these schools you need to think about how much money you are willing to spend and the chances that one of these schools will give you an education in something useful to you. </p>
<p>I would first eliminate the University of San Francisco since it is going to have the highest tuition and is located in a very expensive place to live. As a UC, UCSC probably offers the greatest expanse of educational resources but it also has somewhat higher tuition than the three CSUs on your list and you probably do not want to pay more for something that might not have any greater value to you. SFSU is a good school but the cost of attendance of any university in San Francisco is going to be expensive. SDSU and CSULB are both top tier CSUs but Long Beach might be cheaper to live in than San Diego.</p>
<p>Does your username mean that you are a San Diego kid? Would you like to be closer to home? Is being near the beach important to you? Does weather matter to you?

<p>Don’t get me wrong, I have goals and ambitions im just very overwhelmed at the moment. I pretty much would like to go to the most prestigious school or the one that will prepare me the best for the future. Im mostly interested in Psychology, Economics, and Business for my undergrad and $$ is not a huge issue although it would be nice to graduate without many loans to pay. My top 3 are UCSC, SFSU, and CSULB.</p>

<p>Okay. Any UC is going to have ENORMOUS class sizes at the freshman level. I don’t know about you, but I hate being treated like a number. If you are really unsure about what you want to do, there’s no shame in going to your local community college, where you’ll have greater flexibility to try things out at a relatively low cost. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention, however, that CCC’s are packed to the gills, and it may be difficult to get the classes you need to transfer in two years. There are two reasons for this: California’s budget crisis, and the fact that money IS an issue for most families and people are goin’ where the gettin’ is cheap.</p>
<p>How important is it that you stay on a “4-year Bachelor’s” schedule? If that is the most important factor, than USF is likely your best bet, as most private schools will push you through in four years so they can poke fun at the UCs. If not, then take the CCC route, as you’ll have more time to think about your academic goals.</p>
