Need to Choose between UCF and FIT

With GI Bill and financial aid the $$$ is not really an issue. Location is. To that end I need to decide between UCF or FIT. I will be majoring in Mathematics, eventually with Masters in Applied, directed at teaching starting at Community College level. Transfering with AA plus a semester or 2, and am not even slightly interested in the number of trees on campus, parties available, or extra curriculars. Sorry about that, but I am shocked to see some of the posts on this site with in depth discussions about the size of land and number of trees as a choice! Math is fun to me, I tutor when asked, if I do decide to change majors or focus, it would be something else technical, like PChem, or Forensics/Chemistry.

My only concern is after completion, the professional reputation of the degree program, and quality/strength of instruction. So far I am leaning towards FIT.

If you were going technical, and had to choose between these two schools....

FIT, hands down. For what it’s worth, UCF does have a reputable mathematics department!

UCF. FIT is an overpriced, third-rate engineering school.

I like your sense of humor  I do agree to some extent though. Some people are deciding which school they wanna attend based on some very wrong reasons. My advice is always visit both schools and ask about their programs and majors and see which interests/fits you best.

Good luck on whatever school you choose to attend!
