I'm a high school junior and I'm planning on attending Georgetown in fall 2012 (if I get in). I want to major in something related to politics/political science. what extracurriculars and summer programs should i do? I've already done political campaign internships and JSA Georgetown. I'm volunteering in Thailand for the month of June I feel like im not doing enough to put on college applications.

Thanks!

uhm well I would highly suggest applying to the house of Reps./Congress Person page program. I dont think that applications are still open, and you can only apply your junior year.

To be honest so far, the internships and JSA dont really stand out that much.

Eitherway good luck

Have you considered applying to TASP? Yes, it’s very selective, but all of the seminars this year pertain to some sort of sociology/political science/philosophy topic, and I found the application process very helpful in preparing for college applications. I was actually able to use a good chunk of material I had researched at TASP for my Georgetown SFS essay.
