<p>Do colleges change their essay topics from year to year? I'm looking to be super productive this summer in terms of getting ahead in the college application process, and I would love to write all of my essays. Most schools are putting up their 2008-2009 applications up towards the end of the summer, so I was wondering if it would be worth it to write essays for older applications... please advise!</p>
<p>It depends on which colleges you're applying to. If you're going to use the Common App go ahead and write the essay. Other than that, if the college has a unique application I'd be a little more wary. Do some research on what the prompts were for those colleges in the last couple of years. If they don't change then it's probably safe to use them.</p>
